Silhouette Soft® is our chosen brand of threads which are made of a Poly L-Lacitc Acid monofilament with molded cones made of Lactide/Glycolide. It was developed by scientists in the USA using reconstructive and aesthetic surgical expertise.
The suture acts as scaffolding under the surface of the skin to lift sagging soft tissues. The cones both hold the threads in place, and in time stimulates the body’s production of collagen to replace depleted facial volume which diminishes with age.

How does Silhouette Soft® work?

What is the process?
Local anaesthetic is applied to the face and a specially trained doctor inserts the Silhouette Soft thread under the skin using a fine needle.
After inserting the thread, the doctor applies slight pressure on the treated area to reshape the surface of the skin and achieve the immediate lift.

How long does it take before the effect of a Silhouette Soft thread lift treatment becomes visible?
In principle, the effect of a treatment will be instantaneous, although initially tightening of the threads may cause a certain amount of wrinkling that will disappear within a couple of days.
Is one treatment enough?
A Silhouette Soft treatment is always temporary since, over time, the threads will be broken down by the body. How long the effect remains visible may vary, because not everyone has the same metabolism. However, on average, the effect remains for 12 to 18 months.
Is the treatment painful?
The treatment is almost unanimously experienced as not painful, because the skin is numbed with a small quantity, local anaesthetic in those areas where the threads are inserted.
Is a Silhouette Soft treatment safe?
Yes. Because the treatment is non-surgical, it does not even require a general anaesthetic. This thread lift procedure is minimally invasive and thus extremely safe.
Are there any recommendations to be followed after Silhouette Soft® treatment?
- During the week following treatment, do not undergo any dental surgery, and avoid facial massages or any beauty treatment.
- For the first few weeks, avoid any contact sport.
- Preferably sleep on your back.
- In the event of pain, take a pain reliever according to your doctor’s prescription.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes a consultation with Dr Rajapara will be required, in the consultation the doctor will explain in detail how the treatment works and will assess your suitability for the treatment, he will also discuss preparation for treatment and post treatment care. A consultation costs £200
