Capillum Hair Regrowth Programme
Hair loss or thinning hair can be upsetting and cause confidence issues for suffers.
In the past treatment options were limited and costly. Over time treatments have become available that are more advanced, more cost effective and with minimal down time.
Dr Rajpara has spent a number of years perfecting a treatment plan which delivers great results no down time and that is minimally invasive. The Capilum Programme is the result of years of research and trials and has proven results.
The programne initially is a 6 month course which included a variety of treatment techniques and a home care plan to compliment the treatments.
Each client at Grand Aura is unique and treatment plans are made to suit the clients needs and desired outcomes. Two of the treatment techniques used are PRP therapy and Meso Therapy. A typical treatment plan will include a combination of both techniques along with a home care package
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy(PRP)
Our blood is made of two main components, red blood cells, and plasma. The plasma contains white blood cells and platelets, which are rich in growth factors.
The use of PRP is a great treatment option for hair loss because it has a number of scientifically based articles showing its efficacy increasing hair count, hair thickness, and the growth phase of the hair cycle, the treatment has been gaining popularity around the world within the last few years.
The process
As with most procedures, there is a careful process involved in using PRP for hair regrowth, beginning with a standard blood draw from the patient's arm. The tube of blood is put into a machine called a centrifuge, which spins the blood tube to separate out the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma, rich in platelets, is then injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles
The process is meticulous — with injections beginning across the scalp, approximately at every half inch over the area of thinning hair — but typically, the entire procedure takes less than a half hour.
Risks involved
It might sound scary (blood draws and needles) but for the most part, there's no real risk associated with PRP. Most patients get injections without any numbing, as there is minimal discomfort, However, cool air or ice packs may be used to minimise pain. In the event there is any discomfort. Bruising can occur but usually resolves within a week or two.
Meso Therapy
Mesotherapy is an alternative treatment that helps to cure baldness in both males and females by reducing hair loss, promoting hair growth and slowing male pattern baldness. It is a process which regulates the proteins, vitamins and other nutrient levels and growth factors in the scalp of the patient suffering from balding. This is done by injecting in the least painful way, nutrient boosters in the scalp to aid in the nourishing and hydrating of the scalp. This also includes initiating cell metabolism, eliminating infections and promoting and accelerating hair growth, improving blood circulation in the scalp and strengthening and reviving the hair follicles to help create dense, voluminous, strong, long and healthy tresses. This is a comparatively faster treatment than its counterparts as it helps to gradually restore hormonal balance and neutralises the effects of DHT hormone leading to accelerated growth of new hair strands.
The Process
Mesotherapy for hair regrowth involves the technique of injecting nutrient rich liquid in the mesoderm of the scalp – the layer under the epidermis which serves as a link between the layer of fats and the tissues of the skin. This is done with a sterile needle which injects the solution in the scalp. This treatment usually lasts for half an hour each. Treatment results are visible after a few sessions. The basis of the treatment substance that is injected during the therapy depends on the cause for the hair fall experienced. Since this substance generally contains vitamins, nutrients and other tissue friendly materials, this treatment is considered safe with usually no side effects or allergic reactions. The patients who undergo this treatment experience no or minimal pain and least discomfort making mesotherapy an easy solution for getting rid of the chronic problem of balding. However, people with skin ailments, dermal inflammations, diabetes, haemophilia and pregnancy should not opt for this treatment as it may hamper and deteriorate their health condition.
Risks Involved
Most patients get injections without numbing as there is minimal discomfort, however cool air or ice packs may be used to minimise pain. Bruising can occur but usually resolves within a week or two.
