Dr.Shivashini Kirthi Jeyarajah - Consultant Dermatologist


Dr.Shivashini Kirthi Jeyarajah (MBB Ch BaO ,MD, MRCP UK (Dermatology) , MRCP Ireland) 
 
Dr. Kirthi is a UK and Ireland-trained NHS consultant dermatologist. After graduating from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2011, she began her medical and dermatology training in Ireland before moving to Scotland to complete her dermatology specialization. She  has dual MRCP qualifications (MRCP UK and MRCP Ireland) and holds a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Dermatology. Dr. Kirthi has a particular interest in severe eczema, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and biologics treatment.
Dr. Kirthi has a strong research background, earning a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from Trinity College Dublin for her research on comorbidities in Hidradenitis Suppurativa. She is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Rogers Prize by the Irish Association of Dermatologists, United European Gastroenterology (UEG) National Scholar Award and the Bursary Award at the Irish Melanoma Forum.
She has delivered several presentations at esteemed national and international meetings, including the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and Irish Association of Dermatologists (IAD) conferences. Dr. Kirthi has also examined at the medical students OSCEs and has served on the interviewing panel for the UK national dermatology specialty recruitment.
Dr. Kirthi has extensive teaching experience, having served as a lecturer in clinical medicine at Trinity College Dublin, where she was honored with the Brian Mayne Excellence in Teaching Award. She regularly teaches University of Aberdeen medical students and has delivered training for NHS Grampian GP trainees and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs). Currently, she is a mentor for the University of Aberdeen Career Mentoring Programme.
